Moving On

Our last day in the North-East - spending time with my Grandma. My Grandma always comes to my aunt and uncle's place on a Tuesday and my cousin and her son are coming a bit later as well, so it's going to be a full house.

Yesterday we spent most of the day with my Dad's older sister and her family. Dhanushka's probably 'familied' out, but he seems to be enjoying himself and everyone seems to like him. I was worried that Dhanshka might not be able to understand what people were saying as the accent up here can be difficult to follow, but he's doing very well.

Tomorrow we're heading to Oxford - catching the train down. Thinking about it now we could have kept the car and driven down, but I've already booked the tickets and anyway the train is a much more relaxing - and environmentally friendly - way to travel.

We didn't end up going very far on Sunday. My aunt had promised that she'd take Sam - my cousin's son - on a train, so we decided to go with them on the Metro to Tynemouth. Sam is quite a character - 3 years old and full of questions!!! I'm trying to keep him entertained at the moment while my aunt prepares dinner.
